      We will bild up a group to prepare together the Performance for the 100°Grad.
      This will take a few months of preparation in which we will do research and rehersals for the Laboratory On Stage in february.
      The topics we wanna work on are to find tools to build up action, interaction, expectations, to break them and to use them to interact with audience.
      When starts a movement to be recognized as a dance? When do we recognize action as performance? What is considerd to be a stage? Or audience?
      This are just a few questions we asked already and there will be more to explore.

      The theses we are working on:

      The performance LOSt°1 researches the borderline of infelt, unconditional subjectivity and volitional, but prevented proximated communication, used as abridge to the non-self.

      Important topics of the actors are the experience of the personal space, the perception and (failurend) transcendence of subjective borders, finally the altercation with secludedness as (supposed) logical consequence of being human.

      LOSt°1 is therefore an Laboratory On STage, to research the might and power of constructed realities, in an interactive alterning with the audience. Pointing on the, societal created, borders between stage and audience (active and passive), the researchteam trys to remove those, also the assumed safety of the spectateur should be questioned and exposed as a construct.

    • My dears!

      Thank you all for participating in the Pre-Labs 1-3!
      Fantastic inspiration, lotz of new views and fun!

      It is getting serious now *dramatic sound in the background*:
      Who wanna be part of the Lost°1 Research Team? (LRT)

      Think about it and please, decide till Friday.

      The basics:

      The time:

      We decided to keep the sundays, usually from 14:00-18:00.
      There will be two meetings from 11:00-19:00, the first on 06.01.2008, and the last meeting before the show ( 18.02.2008)

      The Festival takes part from the 21.-24.02.2008.

      There is a technical stagevisit on the 15.01.2008, around 17:00. At this date they will also tell us on which date we will play.

      The people:

      To be part of the LOSt°1 ResearchTeam you should either have been on one of the Labs 1-3, or u should have any stage/performing-experience.

      Anyway, please send a short text to introduce yourself, your skills, why u like to be part of the LRT, your ideas (if u have), what else you think is necessary for the others to know, till friday latest. Send it via Email!!

      It is not important to come to all the meetings, but you should try. If u really can´t make it, depending on the time you have (or in that case: you don´t have), but u wanna be part of the LOSt°1, let us know, we need stagehands, coordinaters, feedbackaudience, statist-players, etc...

      The first meeting:

      Is especially important for those people, who couldn´t make it to one of the Lab´s. There will be a certain timetable (if u have interesting topics, let me know) , including a few games, theoretical input, work according to the topics we figured out last meeting (see below), first researches, orga-stuff, vision-sharing (important).

      Homework: Think about the topic, create a vision to it, do some first research maybe.
      The where has to be solved (I will do this over christmas) .

      The current [lexicon]direction[/lexicon] of research:

      We discussed following topics (uncomplet, be free to fill the gaps)

      Interaction:

      * Offering several possibillities for the audience to interact
      * "Fake" interactions with own people hidden in audience
      * Force the Audience to "over the edge"-experience, but stop before crossing borders
      * Lead audience emotions to the edge and twist them into nice experiences
      * ask audience for feedback (volunteered or choosen,randomly)

      Audience:

      * different kind of audiences, dirfferences between them
      * setting up a "Meta-audience"

      Stage:

      * play with position of the stage
      * split play in stageplay and not-on-stage-play

      Expectations:

      * create
      * explore
      * break them
      * visualize them

      Other, also important views, questions, etc:

      * Which senses do we like to adress?
      * How close should the [lexicon]Contact[/lexicon] be?
      * How do we like to present the Research Results?
      * Do the bunny game on stage!
